Re: Place Your Ayyam-i-Ha Orders Early: Next BDS Order Date 15 January
(Only two more order dates before Ayyam-i-Ha: 31 January and 15 February)
Dear Friends,
Allah-u-Abhá and warm greetings.
I trust and pray you (and your family) had a safe holiday season.
You know, whenever the Gregorian New Year arrives, and the traditional Christian gift giving period is come and gone, as Bahá’ís we all know that Ayyam-i-Ha is just around the corner.
And that means that we too will have a chance to experience the joy of gifting, visiting friends, relatives and the sick (as well as attending as many parties and potlucks as our weight will allow):-
“So, Loretta, what does all this have to do with the BDS?”
Well, friends, I’m glad you asked.
I will soon be placing a BDS order--assuming Assembly approval--to make certain items available at the Raleigh Center for this special time of the year, which takes place from 26 February – 1 March.
This order will include just a very small collection of books, CDs, cards and cassettes which you might enjoy throughout Ayyam-i-Ha and beyond. And hopefully some materials will be in languages other than English, such as Spanish and Farsi.
But, of course I can not anticipate specific items that you might like to have for your own personal use or to use as gifts to others for Ayyam-i-Ha. So, now would be an excellent time to take a look at what the BDS has to offer.

One easy way to do this is to go to the BDS website (by clicking the link above or copying and pasting it into your web browser), locate the “Search” box on the left hand side of the page (right under “Bahá'í Distribution Service”), and type in the word “ayyam”, and then click “Go” to get an idea of their offerings.
You could also do a search on “Holy Day” to view what cards and general materials might be available for the occasion. But, and this is important, do not place your order at the BDS site. Remember, when you order your materials through your local BDS Rep, you help us carry more titles in our local bookstore at the same.

Friends, you know how these days of Ayyam-i-Ha have a tendency to sneak up on you, and I do not want you to find yourself totally u n p r e p a r e d.
