Friends,

By now you know that I have moved to the west Coast, and no longer serve as BDS rep. I believe my promise was to leave this site up for one additional year after leaving Raleigh, just in case the community found someone who wanted to continue it.

Currently, there are about 30 or more visitors per day to the site, mostly looking for information on the importance of literature. So...it seems it is still a means of service for some browsers. With that in mind, I will continue it until I either change it to read something like COBBi (for Carlsbad Online Bahai Booksource International, if my new community requires such a service, or until the LSA of Raleign issues further instruction.

Nothing new on the site since 2006.

Exciting News!

Below is information on the latest book containing the Writings of Baha'u'llah from World Centre Publications. It is now available for advance orders. Information from the Bahai Distribution Service website is noted below.

I will plan to have a sign up sheet available at the upcoming Feast (Tuesday 16 May) if you would like to order a copy in advance of the late June expected distribution date. For those who would like to send your request to me right now, click here to use our contact form.

April 2006

If it's April, that means the 19 day Fast has come and gone (2-20 March) and now we are in a month filled with many activities and events and even a couple of festive Holy Days.

The Annual Election will be held on the 20th, 7:30 at the Baha'i Center, and the First Day of Ridvan Holy Day Celebration (21 April ) will be held at Lake Crabtree County Park at 2:00 p.m.. Feasts will be held on the 8th and the 27th of this month at the usual time and place. The 9th Day of Ridvan, another Holy Day Celebration, will be held at Pullen Park at 4:00 p.m.

In early May we conclude our Holy Day celebrations on the 2nd, with the 12th Day of Ridvan gathering to be held at Rose Garden, beginning at 12 noon.

We also eagerly anticipate a visit from Dr. William Roberts, a member of the National Spiritual Assembly, on 6th May.
